This is an excellent house for a large group looking for somewhere to stay in Brighton. It is exceptionally clean, well kept and a perfect location for those wanting to be in Brighton but not in the centre.
The house itself is easy to find with a parking space but also street parking extremely close by. The street parking requires payment but this is reasonable and easy to do on an app.
The house has a large entrance hall with plenty of space for costa and shoes. The utility room downstairs also has extra space for storage if needed.
The kitchen is huge and an excellent place for gathering as a group. We had 16 in our party-all of which were able to fit around the table for meals. There is plenty of crockery, glasses and utensils for everyone with plenty of extras. There is a huge fridge and freezer along with a dishwasher.
The host ensured that there was a welcome pack of tea and coffee as well as cleaning products.
There is a small patio area with seating off the kitchen.
Upstairs, the living room has plenty of seating and a large TV. There is seating for everyone.
The bedrooms are large, clean and comfortable. Bedding is provided for all of the beds. In the living area there are sofa beds if required. There is storage and hanging space in each of the bedrooms. All the bedrooms have large bright windows with blinds and curtains.
The bathrooms were clean and modern-towels were provided for all of our guests.

We stayed here for the weekend for my friends Hag weekend. The house was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space and bedrooms and the social areas (lounge and kitchen) were exactly what we wanted. Check in and out was easy and it was a great location. We didn’t have any issues during our stay, would definitely recommend.

The property has enough facilities to sleep 16 people. However, there were no fans in any of the rooms and living area. The heat was unbearable in the evenings when we were all together. The fridge needs some attention. A lot of our food perished. Some of the rooms the carpets were not clean and dust was noted. The amenities are close by but rather priced up. Otherwise a pleasant stay the manager was very acoomodating.

An Amazing Short Family retreat
The process of booking and communication with the owner was efficient and well planned. We absolutely loved the house and enjoyed our stay. We had no problems during our stay, and even if we did the owner was very helpful and had reassured us that we can contact him. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Amazing stay!!
Really great property, about 15/20 mins walk to the sea front. There was plenty of space for us all (with some to spare), enough utensils and crockery to cook meals. The living room is very comfortable and large enough for a big group to feel comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great place to stay in Brighton
A group of nine of us stayed for six nights while we attended a conference at Brighton conference centre. The property was fabulous, plenty of room, beds and bathrooms. There were good cooking facilities, a dishwasher and washing machine,with instructions for use. The property is about 20 minutes walk from the conference centre, with plenty of buses or a reasonable taxi fare in case the weather isn't nice enough for the walk along the front. We loved everything about Southdown Mews and look forward to visiting again.

The house was just as we expected from the photos, if not better. Very spacious, plenty of room in the kitchen and lounge for a large group of people. Kitchen had plenty of everything, China, glasses, utensils etc
Loved the lounge...so much seating and nice and relaxing. Location of the property is great. Literally a 5 minute walk down to the beach. We bought 2 day bus ticket and really easy to get around. Bedrooms were also nice.
Can’t fault anything and we would book again.

Amazing House
11 of us stayed at this property which was amazing. Great location for Kemp Town and Brighton in general. Spotless house - looked like totally new interior. Massive, comfy beds. Spotless kitchen - with every appliance you could think of. Small courtyard for the couple of smokers we had with us. Loads of space for us to all have our own little bit of time away from each other but great social spaces too. Would highly recommend to all to stay here and will definitely look to stay here again with the same large group.

A great place to accommodate a four generation family during a wedding weekend
I booked this a year ago as we were looking for five bedrooms. It’s just over a mile from the pavilion and the waterfront hotel we were having the reception at, so not too bad access wise, although we had to use taxis sometimes cos of a three year old and a ninety year old. The location is good, although first impressions as you approach are less good. The entrance, to three houses together, is quite narrow and the availability of the space immediately in front of the property was not made clear. There is also a dedicated space for the property nearby. Anyway, we first used the closest space but you have to be considerate to the neighbours (I gave them the complimentary bottle of white wine that was left for guests). Next, the front door, which is shielded by three large bins and there is a cigarette butts bin to the left, which to non smokers is an unwelcome welcome. However, once you have mastered the art of opening the door, by pulling it towards you cos it is warped against the lock and the key won’t turn unless you pull it, you enter the tardis like sanctuary that is the house. It’s a great size, with plenty of room for our family, but my view is that it would be too cosy for the advertised 16 occupants, especially considering practicalities such as the number of tea towels and a teapot size that is only good for three. There are other forensic level comments that I have passed to the owner and agent, but these are minor details and detract from the fact that this is a good base from which to explore all that Brighton has to offer.

Amazing location!
This house is in the perfect location, just a short walk from the beach front and pier! The house doesnt look bit at all from the outside but its massive inside and holds a lot of people. The owners Pam and Mark are also very lovely, would highly recommend!😊

Great place to stay near to the seafront and pier and a short walk to a lovely park, Pavilion and eating places.
The house catered for everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable providing a great place to relax and spend time together for our family group of 12.
It was child friendly with plenty of sleeping options and space for the family.

Really great stay and excellent house !
We were 15 adults and 1 child staying at the house. Excellently presented and very clean.
The large kitchen table was a total winner ! And it's very well furnished with everything you need in the kitchen, bedrooms and lounge. Even has speakers for your smartphones / iPods.
The only thing I'd like to flag is the 5 bedder room is very small if you are putting 5 adults in there and the beds in there aren't best for adults. There is also very little storage space in their. It's doable but not so comfortable. We made it work though so it's not impossible.
We used the beds in the lounge so this pretty much nocked out this room as a communal space but the kitchen was the hub all weekend so it didn't affect us that much.
All in all I would totally recommend. Pam was very responsive with any questions we had and very helpful.
I'd stay again for sure as it's so well placed for Brighton and the area is very quiet.

Large house, great location
We loved our stay here over New Year’s Eve! The house comfortably accommodated all 14 of us. Having an upstairs sitting room meant we could use that room as a bedroom and the huge kitchen as the hub of the house. The kitchen was a great communal area with everything we needed. Just a short walk to the town centre we would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend this house! Thank you :)

Fab Fifty Weekend
I booked the property for my big one! We had 7 couples and a whole lot of fun. The kitchen area was great and the main hub of the weekend. We hardly used the lounge, leaving this set up as a bedroom the whole stay. It is a shortish walk to Brighton, even I managed it, being fifty an all!!! The owners were always responsive on email if I had any questions. Don't let the outside fool you it lovely inside. It was the perfect base.

A wonderful property
The property was exactly as described. Modern, well maintained, spacious, spotless and well equipped. Brilliant location. The owner provided excellent customer service. Prompt replies to my emails, detailed information and my deposit was transferred into my bank within days. I would certainly recommend this property and would love to return.

Perfect location and house
We stayed here for 3 nights for my dads 50th birthday. The location of the place is perfect, just up from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the pier. The house itself is really accomadating, lovely big kitchen with everything you need. The lounge is big and spacious and allowed us to watch the football comfortably. Sleeping was very easy and lots of room and space for all 12 of us comfortably. There are three showers and another toilet downstairs. Pam is very helpful and provided all the information we needed. Parking is easy, although there is only one spot, you can park on the road just outside and it's very reasonably priced.
There isn't much more I can say. Perfect house, perfect location and a great stay. We will definitely be returning.

Brilliant place to stay for a large group!
We were a large group of girls on a hen party and spent a long time looking for the perfect property to tick all the boxes. We all needed proper beds, lots of bathrooms, outside space, large lounge with plenty of settees, near the beach, nightlife and so on and so on. This place ticked every single box ! We had a fantastic time and could not have wished for more. The owners were so helpful too . All in all 10/10 for everything and i would recommend this place to anyone!
