Near to the airport.

The rooms are old, so it means smelling from smoking in the rooms earlier.
Our, had both strong Parfum and Smoke, but I also very sensitive.
Also we had a room above a breakfast restaurant, hard to sleep when people start breakfast, you hear all the chairs and table when they moving.

The hotel room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The man at the reception was extremely nice and helpful, even at 2 a.m.
Breakfast had a great variety of options to suit everyone’s taste. The staff in the breakfast restaurant were also very friendly and helpful, and the whole area was very clean and well maintained.

Not only was it so close to the airport that allowed us to comfortably get our early flights easily, but the hotel is incredible. I was expecting a cheap experience, but was overwhelmed by how nice the staff were, how good the breakfast was and comfy the rooms were. Would recommend this hotel regardless of the location to the airport.
There was nothing about the hotel I did not like. I will use this space to say that users should be aware of Taxi's at the airport trying to overcharge. A taxi ride should only be 16-22 EURO. One driver tried to charge 35-40EURO which we did not accept. Hotel does offer Transfer shuttle if going to the airport however for 5EURO per person which is perfcet.

it was clean
I only stayed at the Winter Garden Hotel because it was close to the airport. In fact it cost me 20 Euros each way by taxi to get to and from the airport. I tried to get a shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport in the morning but was told that there was only one an hour and the next one was fully booked so I would have to wait nearly 2 hours - so I had to catch a taxi. Later in the same trip I caught a bus from the airport into the city centre - the buses run every few minutes and are very cheap. Next time therefore I would stay at a hotel in town rather than the Winter Garden Hotel.
